Hey everyone. I hope you've all been safe and well. Welcome back!

--------------------

So, the biggest news: the 15th marked four years that I've been on dA! I really can't believe that I've been here that long. But, when I look at all I've done here on dA, it turns out not really being that surprising at all. I've done so much, and I've improved so drastically. I'm glad to be here, and here's to another great year!

--------------------

So, I just want to say that I've been looking at all of my old stuff, and there are some things that I will probably be updating. I am already working on updating some things, so hopefully I'll finish that soon. As for the rest, I might do remakes of some of my old works, just to see how much I have improved since I first came here.

--------------------

Alright, some more updates!

Next week is Spring Break, and I can't be more excited. I really need a break, and I just want to hang out for a while and enjoy life for a little while. I'll take plenty of pictures, and I'll draw a lot, so I'll be ready to post new things then. Until then, you'll just have to hold out, sorry. ^^;

After Spring Break, I will probably know whether I have been accepted to go to Japan for my school's Year-In-Japan program. I am really nervous; people tell me I shouldn't be, but I really don't know if I'll make it in and it's nerve-wracking! I hope I get in...

I have been working on the 100 Art Themes. I'm happy with how the drawing is coming out, but I will have to explain my discourse regarding my 100 Themes project:
-If I am accepted to Japan, then obviously, I will not be able to post them without a scanner. That is why, to the best of my ability, I will be drawing, inking, and scanning ALL of them before I leave for Japan, and hopefully finishing most of them too. If I go to Japan, I will probably post at least one or two per week—meaning, if I go for the nine months of the program, that's 36 weeks x 2 = 72 deviations that need to be completed. It's a lot of work, but it would be a lot better than having no art for dA, right? (That said, I will always be posting pictures, regardless of where I am. So if you like my pictures, don't worry—they'll always be able to get here!!)

I have more pictures coming, but they probably won't be around until after I come back from Spring Break. But when I come back, I'll probably have a steady stream of deviations until I go home in May, and beyond!

heh, oldie. *gigglesnort*

ARGHH YOU'RE SO LUCKY. My school doesn't have a Japanese-program-thingy of any kind. DX (well we have an anime club but that's...it.) (probably because there are a grand total of like 50 Japanese families in the entire midwest BUT STILL.)

by the way, I Netflix'd that movie Para Chocolata Whateva so it should be coming in the mail soon. :3
:iconmatsuiichi:
Hehe.

Aw, that's a shame to hear that. ><
But hey, if you ever get the opportunity, even if just to go on vacation, definitely go. You won't regret it. Because it's a truly unique experience that you shouldn't pass up. :3

Awesome! Glad to hear it. It's a decent movie, I don't know if you'll like it, but i did. :P

Actually I'm planning a trip for next summer right now. We have an exchange student this year, so I'm going to go visit her. :3
I already have enough money for my plane ticket, but she told me that if I wanted to be able to afford food and souveniers (souveneirs? eh?) I would need another thousand dollars and I'm like WHAT? so I guess I need a job or something. XD;;
she also said that if we go and get our hair cut while we were there, the salon people would get excited because I'm blonde, hah.
:iconmatsuiichi:
Yeah, you'll definitely need the money, because if she's Japanese, she believes in the art of the omiyage (souvenir)!! Japanese give souvenirs whenever they go to or come from somewhere. It's very important. So yeah, be sure to bring something with, and bring something back!

Yeah, I can't wait for the Japanese stylists to cut into my golden locks either... They'll love it, I'm sure. :3

oh yeah, I have to take stuff to give her family.
...but the Japanese have everything that we sell here in America. <_<

ha, my hair stylist was joking that they would take some of my cut-off hair home to treasure. XDD
:iconmatsuiichi:
Where are you from? Usually, it's fine if they have everything that's the same. It's the thought that counts, remember. If I know where in the US you're from I can help you out.

Haha. That's funny. Yeah, they love their foreigner hair. XD

Ohio.
did I tell you the story about how my friend was pointing at an Ohio liscence plate and saying "Ohio" to some Japanese tourists and they got really excited like, "OHAYO!!!!"? that's one of my favorite stories evarrrr. :'D

it always amuses me when people with dark hair dye it to something like white or blonde, but they completely ignore their eyebrows. x3
:iconmatsuiichi:
Haha, you did tell me! That's an awesome story. XDD

Hehe, yeah, a lot of people do forget that. They just end up looking goofy! I mean, what were they thinking? I guess they weren't? Nah, for some, it's adorable, I suppose. :P

(nyerrr, I spelled license incorrectly.)

yeah, we saw this Chinese guy walking down the street the other day, and the hair on his head had been dyed white and it actually looked pretty good, except his eyebrows were still pitch-black. XD
